Project Overview
The story of a non-coding tech platform called Otherfaceoftech It’s of a norm that most developers are the only creatives being referred to techies, other faces of tech emerged to right this wrong notion, helping non-coding techies and communities to realized that they are also a tech person and that there are other fields in tech that does have to do with writing of codes.
Problem Statement
In the technology sector, there is a prevailing notion that only developers—those who write code—are considered true "techies." This narrow perspective overlooks the significant contributions of non-coding professionals within the tech industry. The misconception marginalizes individuals in roles such as design, project management, user experience, and technical writing, among others, who play crucial roles in the development and success of technology projects. The tech platform Otherfaceoftech aims to challenge and change this limited viewpoint by highlighting and supporting non-coding tech professionals. Design Approach
As the designer of Otherfaceoftech, my goal is to challenge the notion that only developers are true "techies" and highlight non-coding tech professionals. I'll start with thorough user research to understand their needs, guiding the platform's design and content. My content strategy interviews, educational resources, and community contributions. I adopted a user-friendly, responsive UX design with simple navigation and personalization in the design process.
